PARENT and ME ENRICHMENT (12 months
to 30 months)
The parent/toddler class focuses on a variety of activities including
dancing, games, basic movement, musical/singing activities, and toddler sign language. Dance incorporates physical movement
with teacher direction, while exercising. Basic movements, such as experimenting with gymnastics equipment increases
toddler balance and body control. The use of musical activities, including singing will also help accelerate toddler
social skills and increase social confidence. Lastly, time will be spent teaching toddler sign language. Research
has shown that signing with babies actually enhances communication skills and intellectual development. The parent/toddler
class teaches sign language to enable infants and toddlers to communicate before they have the ability to verbally communicate.
This eliminates parent/toddler communication barriers while accelerating your child's development. All of these
ativities are provided in a group setting allowing interaction and socialization. This class is being offered on Wednesdays
at 9am and Thursdays at 7pm.
