Alexandra Wilson - Director of Dance
Alexandra Wilson is the Director of our Dance program.  Alexandra has an extensive background in Dance.  She received her BFA in Ballet and Modern from the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  She has performed in works such as: Balanchine’s Serenade, Paul Taylor’s Aureole, Fokine’s Les Sylphide, and many works by Paula Weber, Jennifer Medina, Loren Whittaker, Rodni Williams and DeAnna Hiett.  Alexandra is currently dancing with Storling Dance Theater and is also the Assistant Director of Signature Dance Company.

Kelly McDonough -Assistant Director of Education
Kelly has an extensive background working with children of all ages.  As our Assistant Director of Education, Kelly is responsible for leading our Pre-School, After School Activity Centers, and Field Trip programs.  Kelly has over 25 years of combined experienced teaching dance, gymnastics, fitness, and education to children ages 2 to 16 years of age.  In addition to her dance, gymnastics, and fitness background, Kelly has experience in leading math, science, and art programs.  Most recently, Kelly was a Before/After School Site/Camp Director at the YMCA where she was responsible for leading the activities and programs for up to 60 kids.  Kelly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Wesley Institute.  She also holds an Associates degree in Sign Language Interpretation and has worked at the Kansas School for the Deaf and Camp Sertoma, a children’s camp for the deaf and hard of hearing. 

Katie Munn - Assistant Director of Gymnastics
Katie attends Blue Valley Northwest High School where she has played Varsity Golf and on honor roll.  Katie also has an extensive athletic background, being involved with Dance and Gymnastics for 13 years, playing Soccer for 15 years and Track for 9 years.  For Soccer, Katie has played for KC Legends Soccer Club and also helps run Soccer Camps during the summer.  Katie was born in Springfield and has lived in Overland Park for 13 years.

Shannon Brown - Administrative Assistant
Shanon earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Management from Central Missouri State University.  She has worked in management for Sprint, and the Johnson County Government.  She also has an extensive graphics art background.  Shanon is the Administrative Assistant at movinNgroovin providing invaluable assistance in helping run the center.

Adam Foote
Adam currently attends Kansas State University.  Previously, he was Captain of the varsity Tennis Team and played varsity Soccer while attending Blue Valley High School.  Adam has an extensive athletic background, playing soccer for 14 years and tennis for 10 years.  In addition, he played club soccer with the Blue Valley Stars and currently referees and umpires basketball, soccer, volleyball, and baseball games.

Alex Visk
Alex attends Blue Valley West where he is a member of the Varsity Football and Basketball teams.  He plays safety and wide receiver for the State Champion Jaguars.  For Basketball, Alex plays guard.  In addition to Football and Basketball, Alex has over 8 years experience playing Baseball. 

Ally Wagner
Ally attends Blue Valley Northwest where she is a Honor Roll student and a member of the Varsity Volleyball team.  She also plays volleyball for a club team, KC Extreme.  Ally also has an extensive athletic background, playing Basketball for the past 5 years, Softball for the past 10 years and Soccer for the past 8 years.

Chris Porter
Chris currently attends Johnson County Community College.  Previously, Chris attended Olathe North High School where he was a member of the Varsity Golf team for 2 years.  Chris has been playing golf for 7 years.  At Olathe North, Chris participated in the Sports Medicine and Athletic Training program where he worked as a student athletic trainer for the football and softball teams and has also held semester internships in the Sports and Athletic industries. 

David Cross
David brings excitement and skill to our Hip Hop classes.  David has training in Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Swing but his true passion is Break Dancing, also known as B-Boy.  David brings a variety of Hip Hop technique to his dance classes.   David has competed in a variety of national competitions and plans on touring with GX International in the fall.

Davis Morgan
Davis brings tremendous experience to movinNgroovin.  Davis graduated from Blue Valley Northwest where he played both Football and Baseball.  Davis played Tight End and Defensive End for the Huskies, and had been the starting Catcher for the Baseball team for the past 3 years.  In addition to Football and Baseball, Davis has played Basketball for over 8 years.  Davis has received numerous awards and recognition including:  1st Team EKL Defensive End, 2nd Team Defensive End for Johnson County, 2nd Team Catcher for Johnson County, MVP of Overland Park Yankees  who won Nationals in 2005.   In the fall of 2008, Davis will be attending Missouri Western State University on a Baseball Scholarship.

Deserae Minor
Deserae has an extensive educational and dance background.  She has earned her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and earned her degree in Middle School Education with a minor in mathematics.  She also has taught all levels and subjects at Sylvan Learning Center for 3 ½ years, was a Lead preschool teacher at Children’s World Learning Center for One year and taught Algebra, Geometry at Oregon Trail Jr. High for 4 years.  Deserae has created and ran tutoring programs, has been published in three different papers for projects she created for her students and was nominated for Kansas Teacher of the Year in 2004.  Deserae has also coached the award winning dance team for four years at Oregon Trail Jr. High.

Erika Baker
Erika attends Blue Valley Northwest where she is Captain of the Blue Valley Northwest Dazzler Dance Team.  Erika has an extensive dance and cheer background; having over 4 years of Cheer experience.  In addition to dance and cheer, Erika has played Softball for over 10 years.

Grace Winkel
Grace brings over 14 years of dance experience to movinNgroovin.  She has extensive experience in tap, jazz, and ballet, and has participated in various regional and national dance competitions, including NYCDA (New York City Dance Alliance).  In addition to her dance background, Grace has participated in competitive volleyball for 3 years.  Grace graduated from Blue Valley West and will attending University of Oklahoma in the fall of 2008.

Kelly Downes
Kelly currently attends Blue Valley Northwest, where she is a Captain of the varsity Husky Cheerleading Squad.  Kelly has been participating in Cheerleading for over 5 years.  In addition to Cheerleading, Kelly has played Softball for over 11 years.  Kelly is on the Principal’s Honor Roll and is a member of the National Honors Society.  

Lauren Wooden
Lauren currently attends Blue Valley High School. She is on the cheerleading squad for the Blue Valley Tigers. Lauren participated in gymnastics and dance at a competitive level for 5 years.  She has participated in gymnastics for 6 years, and dance for 7 years.  Her areas of focus were ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop. 

Lisa Bartlett
Lisa brings incredible talent and skill to movinNgroovin.  Lisa was born in Saskatchewan Canada.  Lisa began her Urban Hip Hop training in Canada where she trained with many artist, including the break dance crew J. Fish.  She later joined GX International with whom she has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, New Zealand, and Brazil.  In addition to her performances with GX International, Lisa placed 3rd at the 2003 Ready or Not B-Boy National  Competition Crew Battle in Canada.  Lisa’s current responsibilities at GX International include creating choreography, staging, and costume designing for their various shows and competitions.

Mindy Fischer
Mindy attends Blue Valley Northwest and has an extensive athletic background.  She has played soccer for over 14 years and currently plays for the Blue Valley Stars.  She also is a member of the Varsity Soccer Team at Blue Valley Northwest.  In addition to Soccer, Mindy has participated in Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, and Track. 

Molly Sylvester
Molly attends Blue Valley Northwest where she is Captain of the Varsity Soccer team.  Molly has an extensive athletic background, playing Varsity Soccer for the Huskies for 3 years along with playing Club Soccer.  In addition to Soccer, Molly also has participated in Gymnastics.   Molly is a senior and is a member of the National Honors Society.

Taylor Mayes
Taylor currently attends University of Kansas City Missouri, studying Middle School Education, Social Studies, and English.  She is an alumnus of Shawnee Mission South. She danced on the Pacesetter Varsity Drill Team for 2 years as well as a being a member of the cheerleading squad, being Captain of the Cheer Squad her sophomore year.  Taylor also worked with the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders.  In addition to Cheer, Taylor has an extensive dance background, with a focus spent on Jazz.  After graduating from UMKC, Taylor aspires to be a middle school teacher.

Taylor Poslosky
Taylor attends Blue Valley North where she is currently a member of the Lady Chamber Singers, and played volleyball her freshman year.  Taylor brings over 14 years of dance experience to movinNgroovin, studying Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Modern.  She has performed in various productions including Alegria, Nine, The Little Mermaid, Annie, and South Pacific.

Trevor Rosewicz
Trevor attends Blue Valley West where he is a member of the Varsity Soccer and Tennis team.  Trevor has over 11 years experience in Soccer, playing competitive Soccer for the Blue Valley Stars, in addition to being on the Blue Valley West Jaguars team.    In addition to Soccer and Tennis, Trevor also has experience with Basketball and Baseball.

Troy Butler
Troy attends Blue Valley West.  Troy has an extensive sports background, playing Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Soccer.  He plays wide receiver and cornerback in Football, guard in Basketball, and centerfield in Baseball.
