The Sports program is designed to teach kids the basic skills
of sports all the way to the advanced skills. We cover a variety of sports and activities. All of the classes
will work on getting comfortable with the sports environment and learn how to play the games. Classes are by age groups,
with 2 different levels for 6 to 10 year olds.
3-5 years old Sports Class:
The
Sports Class for 3-5 year olds is designed to get kids comfortable with the sports environment. We will work on practicing
basic skills that are necessary to play sports such as balance, hand-eye coordination, footwork, and cardio fitness.
During the class we start with simple stretches and then follow that with games and activities that help teach the skills
we are emphasizing. Parts of the class also help teach the skills of listening, following directions, and teamwork.
6-10 years old Sports Level 1 Class:
The Level 1 Sports Class for 6-10 year olds is designed
to teach some of the basic skills of various sports. Sports we cover include but are not limited to are soccer, basketball,
football, volleyball, badminton, and baseball. The Level 1 class is geared more for kids starting to learn sports or
kids who just want to have fun playing sports and learning skills.
6-10 years old Sports Level 2 Class:
The Level 2 Sports Class for 6-10 year olds is designed
to teach the basic skills of various sports, but also work on more advanced skills. The sports we cover are consistent
with our Level 1 class and include soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, and baseball. Some of the more
advanced skills we will work on in Level 2 are more technical skills, rules, and also learning how to play the games at a
more competitive level. The Level 2 class students show more passion for the sports we play and are further advanced
in the physical skills of the sports. Kids who want to try Level 2 must first be evaluated by an instructor in the classroom
so the instructor can decide if they are ready.
11+ years old Sports Class:
The 11+ Sports Class
is for kids 11-15 and is designed to work on the skills to learn how to play sports at a competitive level. We will
work on techniques, rules, and the skills needed to play more competitively. The 11+ class follows the same curriculum
as the 6-10 Level 2 class. The sports the class will work on include soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, badminton,
and baseball.
